Learning outcomes
The course will define the main methodological characteristics of evidence-based medicine. In particular, it will introduce randomized and non-randomized clinical trials, systematic reviews using Cochrane methodology, and meta-analyses. Participants will be provided with basic skills for the use of software for data management and analysis, and quality appraisal. The process for producing systematic reviews and meta-analyses will be framed within the development of evidence-based guidelines.
