Objectives of the course and educational program The course aims to provide general knowledge of ophthalmology but also addresses more specific topics important for non-specialist doctors. The educational program gives the ability in recognizing and managing therapy of anterior and posterior segments main ocular diseases with a particular attention for cornea diseases, cataract, glaucoma and retinal pathology through a comprehensive didactic education, accomplished via lectures and teaching materials. Aims of the professional activities Will be provided tools and examples of technical procedures for the correct diagnosis and execution of the cataract surgery. The students will learn how to perform a correct objective examination and how to recognize the main ophthalmology emergencies such as acute angle-closure glaucoma or central retinal artery occlusion. And finally understanding how analyze data of important instrumental methods like visual field, fluorangiography and ocular ultrasound.

MM: ODONTOSTOMATOLOGIA E CHIRURGIA MAXILLO-FACCIALE

The purpose of the course is to remark the relevance of an early diagnosis in squamous cell carcinoma of head and neck; to identify the principle of cranio-maxillo-facial deformity correction and to identify the most relevant clinical signs in cranio-facial traumatology and in oto-rhino-laryngoiatric pathology. To give basic element in ophtalmic physiology and pathology. Glaucoma, retina’s disease, ophthalmic tumours diagnosis and therapy will be stressed out.

Provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for understanding diagnostic and therapeutic ENT procedures. At the lessons' conclusion, students will obtain appropriate knowledge to be able to support a prompt and effective conversation with patients and their families about ENT diseases. Students will acquire both pathophysiological and clinical basic knowledge of adults and children ENT diseases and rudiments of ENT methodology and therapy, especially concerning diseases of urgency. Finally, students will be experienced in the main daily surgical ENT procedures.
