Learning objectives

At the end of the course the student will acquire knowledge of the technical-regulatory foundations of medical prescription.

Prerequisites and basic notions

For effective training, it is recommended to attend the course after having attended the Pharmacology courses and, in sequence, the following elective courses: The medicine: elements of pharmaceutical chemistry, The medicine: the pharmaceutical form.

Program

The course, Medicine: medical prescription, aims to provide students with theoretical knowledge on the regulatory aspects of medicines contextualized for the purposes of prescription in the broader context of the National Health Organization and the National Health Service. Specifically, the program is composed as follows: - the national health organization - the medical prescription - the medicine of industrial origin - the galenic medicine - medicines containing narcotic and psychotropic substances

Didactic methods

The teaching is divided into frontal lessons (8 hours). The frontal lessons held in the classroom on computer support (powerpoint files) provide basic knowledge on medical prescription. During the lessons, learning is encouraged through continuous involvement of the students by discussing the implications of the proposed topics in professional practice.
