Learning outcomes
Introduction to the typical social science approaches in the study of health/disease issues.
Program
Issues during this year's course are the following:
- interactions between bio-genetic and cultural factors in human evolution;
- how bio-medicine affects social science theories and research; how social sciences affect medical theories and related behaviours;
- social research and outcome measures: patient-reported outcomes (PRO); quality of life (QoL) and clinical research;
- Examples of specifically applications.
