The teaching is organized as follows:
Learning objectives
Students should become familiar with the clinical, diagnostic and therapeutical principles of neurological and psychiatrical disorders which are more frequent and relevant for their future practice PRACTICAL ACTIVITY IN NEUROLOGY Educational objectives. To improve knowledge on: -Clinical approach in Neurology - Clinica History and Neurological examination - Principal neurological syndromes -Principal acute and chronic neurological diseases NEUROLOGY MODULE Educational objectives. neurological examination with special emphasis on cranial nerves. Clinical reasoning in neurological disorders: from the syndromic presentation to the identification of the aetiology through the topographical diagnosis. Laboratory investigations in disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system. PSYCHIATRY: analysis of the basical psychical mechanisms; attitude to consider the psychological burden which characterizes the patient’s health.
Prerequisites and basic notions
Clinical anatomy of the central and peripheral nervous system. Neurological disorders with major epidemiological impact or interest for dentists.
