Learning outcomes

The aim of the internship related to the Teaching of Dental Prostheses is to allow the student the practical approach to the fundamental techniques for prosthetic rehabilitations.
The types of prostheses realized are the total or partial mobile prosthesis, and the fixed prosthesis of single, multiple crowns, bridges or on rehabilitation of complete dental arches.
The therapeutic sequences are followed according to the specific protocol for each single type listed above.
The student is made aware of the therapeutic techniques of fixed prostheses, impressions, intermediate tests, occlusal measurements and intermaxillary measurements.
Therapeutic sequences are agreed through the formulation of treatment plans specific to each individual case.
The final will is to make the trainees acquire, guidelines in all the different types of prosthetic rehabilitation essential to their training

• The realization of the prosthetic. clinical stage and laboratory trails
• Cementation in fixed prostheses
• Aesthetics in fixed prosthesis
• Preparations for partial restorations
(inlays and veneers)
• The fixed denture adhesive type Maryland
PRACTICAL PERSPECTIVES
Realization of extracted teeth mounted plaster crown preparation of a total and a partial crown preparation.
