Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

LABORATORIO
Durante le sessioni di laboratorio verranno approfondite alcune delle metodologie analizzate durante le lezioni di teoria e verranno risolti problemi di elaborazione di segnali e immagini principalmente mediante l'uso di MATLAB. Ciascuna sessione prevede una parte iniziale, guidata dal docente, dove poter sperimentare ed approfondire gli argomenti visti a teoria tramite algoritmi già implementati in MATLAB, seguita da una parte in cui si dovranno implementare alcuni degli algoritmi visti a lezione.
Examination Methods
L'esame consiste in una prova di teoria ed in una prova di laboratorio; le due prove contribuiranno rispettivamente per 2/3 e 1/3 al voto finale.
Obiettivo della prova di teoria è quello di accertare la comprensione dei contenuti e la capacità di elaborare tali contenuti in relazione sia a generalizzazioni di casi presentati durante il corso sia all’applicazione a problemi specifici. La prova di teoria consiste sia di domande aperte che di esercizi. Tale prova sarà svolta in forma scritta se l'esame viene svolto in presenza e in forma orale se svolto in via telematica.
Obiettivo della prova di laboratorio è accertare l’acquisizione degli strumenti e delle metodologie necessarie alla risoluzione di esercizi e casi di studio. La prova consiste sia di esercizi da risolvere utilizzando funzioni esistenti in MATLAB sia nell'implementazione di alcuni algoritmi visti a lezione.

The course's teaching activities take place in the Science and Engineering area, which consists of the buildings of Ca‘ Vignal 1, Ca’ Vignal 2, Ca' Vignal 3 and Piramide, located in the Borgo Roma campus.
Lectures are held in the classrooms of Ca‘ Vignal 1, Ca’ Vignal 2 and Ca' Vignal 3, while practical exercises take place in the teaching laboratories dedicated to the various activities.
