Learning objectives
The course aims to provide specific skills in the field of compilers, focusing on the main phases of the compilation process and providing the basis for the design and implementation of the front end of a compiler. Furthermore, some code optimization techniques are introduced in compilation. At the end of the course, the student will have to: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the phases of the compilation and optimization process of a programming language; Know how to apply the knowledge acquired for the design and implementation of compilers; Be able to choose the programming language based on its implementation, understood as the generation of executable code; Knowing how to argue in a technical way the choice and use of a specific programming language according to its implementation; Be able to continue the studies independently in the field of programming languages and SW analysis and development.
