The course aims to promote guidelines for intrapartum care based on “high-reliability organizations” such as the aviation industry. The importance of the team approach, leadership and well-rehearsed ‘fire drills’ in each unit is emphasized and discussed.
The course analyzes the management of sexual violence against women in Obs&Gyn Departments in order to rationalize clinical decision-making and care.
The significant advances in gynecologic oncology are presented: debulking surgery, fertility sparing surgery, radiotherapy and medical oncology. The leadership of the gynecologic oncologist and the nursing/midwifery organization in a large multidisciplinary oncologic team is discussed.
