Program

Objectives of microbiology. Classification of microorganisms in the world of living things. General characteristics of infectious agents. Relationship of infectious agents to the human host. Microbial diagnostics. Antimicrobial drugs: target and mode of action. Vaccines: characteristics and types. Infections of: respiratory tract, SN, genitourinary tract, gastrointestinal tract, bone and skin, cardiovascular system, hematopoietic and lymphoreticular system, fetuses and newborns, childhood and adolescence, opportunistic, nosocomial. Biological and occupational risk.
