Learning outcomes

The course offers basic reading keys for the understanding of mental illness phenomenon and all the parties involved and in various capacities involved: the patient and his family, care groups and formal and informal networks present and possible, the institutions and all citizens. In particular, through the analysis of cases will be deepened some manifestations of mental illness and the nurse's contribution, an integral part of the care team, in helping to accompany the sick person and his family in a revival of one's life path to beyond the mental disorder.

Program

The phenomenon of stigma in mental illness, his influences in preventing recovery paths chosen and hoped for the person and strategies to tackle obstacles and contribute as professionals but also as citizens to reduce it.
Nursing care to the person and his family and the contribution of the nurse through formal and informal networks starting from the services offered by the department of mental health.
Nursing care to the person with mental illness according to the different operations induced discomfort and human resources, institutional and social activated.
The phenomenon of aggression in mental health. The aggressiveness of the system, health care workers, the sick person.
