1. recognition and assessment of the emergency patient

3. recognition and evaluation of traumatized patient according to the ABCDE method

1. primary and secondary evaluation of the critical patient in a non-hospital environment
2. the triage system in a non-hospital environment: principles and methods
3. prehospital care trauma (PTC): ABCDE method, primary survey and secondary survey.
4. the burned, drowned and fractured patient: approach, evaluation and treatment including hymobilisation and transport
5. shocks, wounds, external bleeding: approach, assessment and treatment
6. brief history of extra-hospital rescue in Italy with particular reference to the establishment of suem 118
