Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to:
Understand the importance of monitoring maternal and fatal health and the main diseases that may arise during the 3 quarters.
Know the main dynamics of labor / delivery / secondary, the most common complications of these stages, and how to guarantee, in collaboration with the midwife, the birth of a healthy newborn and in good condition, taking into account the safety and needs of the mother / couple.
Will be able to intervene in the event of complications during the post partum and the puerperium
He will know the strategies to encourage and support breastfeeding.
Will know how to assist the woman with hysterectomy and ovarian cancer, bearing in mind the consequences on her sexual and reproductive life
the student will also be able to provide proper assistance to the woman and the newborn during the extra hospital birth, having in-depth the concepts of assistance in childbirth and physiological secondary care.
