URINARY ELIMINATION AND ITS ALTERATIONS:
- assessment of urinary function (interview, direct observation, objective examination, diagnostic procedures)
- signs and symptoms of urinary disorders
- urinary tract infections (definition, classification, assessment, care and rational interventions)
- urinary incontinence (definition, classification, assessment, care and rational interventions)
- chronic and acute urinary retention (definition, classification, assessment, care and rational interventions)
Care management of the person with bladder catheter:
- indication for the positioning and management of the bladder catheter and drainage system
- prevention of associated infections (CAUTI)
INTESTINAL ELIMINATION AND ITS ALTERATIONS:
- assessment of intestinal function (interview, direct observation, objective examination, diagnostic procedures)
- signs and symptoms in intestinal disorders (melena, hematochezia/rectorrhagia, rectal tenesmus, meteorism, fecal impaction, hemorrhoids, fecal incontinence)

BREATHING AND MANAGEMENT OF ITS ALTERATIONS:

- dispensing devices (low and high flow)
- notes on non-invasive ventilation (characteristics and aids)
