Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
The teaching module includes the following learning objectives for students:
- describe concepts related to patient safety processes; Infectious chain, standard precautions with particular reference to hand hygiene, use of Barrier Systems: gloves, eye and face protection (masks, filtering facepiece, gowns and headgear, protective goggles ..) -
- describe how to put on and remove multiple PPE: dressing and undressing steps
- describe and justify the processes relating to respiratory hygiene measures
- describe and motivate the processes and measures of environmental hygiene
- define the procedures for the safe handling and disposal of needles and cutting edges
- define and justify additional precautions based on transmission by contact, transmission by droplet, transmission by air
- understand the strategies for the prevention of infectious risk and preventive and assistance interventions in health and community contexts, aimed at the assisted persons, the family and the community
- learn strategies to educate people about healthy lifestyles and change those at risk to health and safety.

Examination Methods
Written exam consisting of short answer open questions and multiple choice questions with a single correct answer. The questions explore knowledge - understanding of concepts and knowledge applied to specific situations. The short answer questions can be referred to micro situations proposed during the lessons

La domanda di iscrizione part-time può essere presentata all'inizio di ogni anno accademico e comunque entro il 30 novembre di ogni anno. Entro lo stesso termine, se necessario, lo studente potrà richiedere di tornare al regime full-time.
