Learning objectives
The clinical simulation has the purpose to let the students learn some organizational, technical-practical and relational skills in safe setting. Moreover clinical simulation is aiming at develop in the student the problem solving ability using case method and role-playing . Using clinical simulation may reduce the emotional impact in dealing with patents’ real situation experienced by the nursing students in clinical setting. Also, the clinical simulation offers to the students the opportunity to train and apply theoretical principles to clinical practice. The clinical simulation activity happens in equipped settings, where a tutor or an expert nurse guides a small group of students.

Skills deemed indispensable in 3rd year are:
skills in an evidence-based practice approach (using online databases, making and arguing decisions,
reading and understanding a scientific article),
planning and simulating an educational intervention in the field of chronicity
taking charge of a group of patients and defining nurse sensitive outcomes and priorities
inter-professional collaboration and skills to assign an activity to support staff

Plenary presentation of the results of group work (slide construction, content presentation, argumentation
skills)
Learning assessment procedures
In itinere monitoring of active participation and collaboration during the proposed activities, teacher
reading of group reports.
Peer evaluation of the level of collaboration in group work is foreseen
Provided the possibility to retake any absences and any gaps in individual abilities
Evaluation criteria
Active participation in proposed group activities, mastery of content during activities, quality and
completeness of group reports, evaluation of plenary presentations when scheduled.
Evaluation expressed by the students on working in team (peer review)
Attendance at the laboratory is compulsory for 100% of the scheduled number of hours.
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
At the end of the year, the teacher will form the "approved" or “not approved” test on the exam,
based on the student's regular and certified attendance (100%) and evaluation criteria
