Didactic methods
The following teaching methods will be adopted during the Course: frontal lectures and discussion of clinical-assistance cases in tutored small groups, in addition to individual study and in-depth self-study aimed at recovering preparatory concepts or problems related to the course content.
Learning assessment procedures
Assessment of the Teaching consists of a written examination consisting of multiple-choice and short open-ended questions (clinical cases, interpretation, care decisions). The questions are concerned with appreciating the knowledge and understanding applied to proposed clinical care situations from an integration perspective.
Mode of conduct and evaluation criteria for the exam:
- The exam is organized into Block A (Clinical Nursing, Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases) and Block B (Pneumology, Oncology and Infectious Diseases);
- The student, may take both Blocks A and B in the same roll call or choose to take either Block, but cannot be taken for individual modules.
- If the exam is taken "in blocks" the exam must be completed within 2 successive appeals.
- Weight and N. of questions is proportionate to credits
- The Committee, may propose an oral or written supplement if the level achieved is not completely sufficient even in a single module.
Evaluation criteria
The evaluation considers the following criteria:
- overall score > to 60% (18/30)
- sufficient level in all modules
- absence of serious conceptual errors and use of scientific terminology
- the final grade originates from the average of Block A and Block B outcomes. May also cover elements related to active participation and contributions during lectures and adherence to the training contract.
