Learning objectives
Clinical traineeship (1st year) aims to provide students midwifery management main competence
Prerequisites and basic notions
Students who: - have regularly attended theoretical activities, in particular the teachings of the professional disciplines of the current year and the previous year, can access the internship experiences scheduled for the course year; - have regularly attended the professional workshops considered preparatory to the internship - are in compliance with the legislation in force at the time of registration and subsequent amendments relating to the requirements/obligations for access to the internship
Program
Internship activities are designed to enable students to acquire basic obstetric care skills, as required by the professional profile. Internships are conducted in clinical areas for which students have acquired theoretical prerequisites during the course year (primarily obstetrics and gynecology, supplemented with general medical or surgical areas to increase the opportunities for acquiring technical skills).
Didactic methods
The professional internship includes: - tutorial sessions that prepare the student/s for the experience; - exercises and simulations in which technical, relational and methodological skills are developed in a protected situation before or during experimentation in real contexts; - direct field experience with supervision; - tutorial sessions and constant feedback; - didactic tasks, specific written papers and insights and guided study mandates.
Learning assessment procedures
At the end of each year of the course, a certification assessment is carried out to ascertain the levels achieved by the student in developing the expected professional skills. It can be achieved with interviews, written application tests, simulated exams.
Evaluation criteria
This evaluation is the synthesis of the training evaluations gradually documented during the course year, the profit achieved in the written papers and the performance demonstrated in the internship exam. In order for the internship to have a positive evaluation, all the parts subject to evaluation that have been described must be sufficient
