Learning objectives

The course aims to provide basic knowledge necessary to introduce students to Midwifery management and person-centered care. The Midwifery path will be examined by considering its historical and cultural origins, the ethical regulatory framework and the reference models. Midwifery management phases will be studied in depth, with particular attention to the methods of data collection and the main procedures that are used in basic assistance. The basics of general pharmacology and principles relating to dietary sciences with respect to the population of interest will also be provided.

Prerequisites and basic notions

Since this is a first-year, first-semester exam, there are no specific prerequisites different from those required for admission to the degree program
