Learning objectives
The second year laboratories aim to help students to acquire basic obstetric care skills and midwifery management in simulation contexts.
Prerequisites and basic notions
Theoretical prerequisites, knowledge of the parameters and evolution of the physiological puerperium. Vital and obstetric parameters, and an activity plan for monitoring maternal and neonatal well-being during the postpartum period.

Monitoring of vital and obstetric parameters during the physiological puerperium. Counseling. Activity planning. Care.
Didactic methods
Laboratory simulation on mannequins in small groups (maximum 4-5 students)
Learning assessment procedures
Not foreseen. Eligibility will be assessed at the end of the workshop.
Evaluation criteria
Mastery of the laboratory content, active participation, commitment, and proactivity are assessed.
