Learning outcomes

Understanding the main vascular diseases related to the 3 main districts (arterial, venous and lymphatic) and the microcirculation.
Describe the main vascular risk factors and their role in atherosclerotic diseases.
Knowing the most frequent and relevant vascular pathologies.
Get the ability to evaluate a patient with vascular disease using the main imaging techniques and laboratory use in vascular diagnostics.
Define basics, roles, objectives of rehabilitative interventions.

Introduction to Vascular Diseases.
Atherosclerosis and Cardiovascular Risk Factors.
Pathophysiology and clinical features of Peripheral Arterial Disease.
Treatment and rehabilitation of Peripheral Arterial Disease from Intermittent Claudication to Critical Limb Ischemia.
Classification of Venous Disease.
Pathophysiology and clinical features of Venous Insufficiency.
Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) and Post-Thrombotic Syndrome.
Lymphedema: pathophysiology, clinical features and rehabilitative treatment.
The Thoracic Outlet Syndrome: pathophysiology, clinical features and rehabilitative treatment.
Assessment and rehabilitative approach to primitive and secondary Raynaud's Phenomenon.
