Learning outcomes

Module objectives:

- To provide a reference framework about the main legislative provisions which have led to the establishment of the National Health Service and to the subsequent definition of the
organizational structure of the healthcare administration, and the resulting articulation of the services;
- Describe the structure and functioning of the public health trusts;
- Describe the main contents of the Veneto Region's Social and Healthcare Plan and the regional social and healthcare service reforming law n. 19/2016.

Program

Course program:
- Outline of the historical evolution of the Italian Health System organization;
- The distribution of the healthcare-related competencies ;
- Organization and functioning of the public healthcare system: Aziende USL and Aziende Ospedaliere.
- Organizational models between hospital and territory;
- Personnel and professions of the National Health System;
- The main contents of the Veneto Region's Social and Healthcare Plan;
- The principles of the reform of the Veneto Region's Social and Healthcare system: the regional law n. 19/2016.
