Learning outcomes

Il Corso persegue il fine d’introdurre gli strumenti teorici elementari della Medicina quantitativa. Il percorso didattico si propone di preparare gli studenti a:
-descrivere, interpretare e comunicare in modo appropriato le informazioni raccolte su un collettivo di pazienti (o altre unità sperimentali);
-valutare l'affidabilità delle misurazioni effettuate in ambito biomedico, in termini di sensibilità, specificità, accuratezza e precisione;
-generalizzare le osservazioni effettuate su un numero limitato di soggetti alla popolazione di origine mediante tecniche inferenziali elementari
-leggere in modo critico degli articoli di ambito biomedico.

Program

Introduzione: Scopo della statistica in Medicina.
Statistica descrittiva: distribuzioni di frequenza, misure di posizione e di dispersione
Probabilità: definizione, somma e prodotto di probabilità. Distribuzioni teoriche di probabilità
Inferenza statistica: intervallo di confidenza e test d’ipotesi

Examination Methods

L’esame è scritto e costituito da test a scelta multipla ed esercizi con risposta libera. Le risposte fornite nel compito verranno discusse con lo studente.
