The goal of this course is to provide to the students the basis of anatomy and physiology of urinary tract and of pelvic floor, to plan a diagnostic and therapeutic pathway to cure or improve with conservative and rehabilitative approach the main dysfunctions of the miction and continence. A matter of peculiar interest will be the diagnosis and treatment of lower urinary tract dysfunction due to neurologic diseases or to static pelvic floor dysfunctions that cause female and male urinary incontinence and genital prolapse.

Acquisition of the fundamentals of cancer oncology pathology with particular reference to the definition of the biological aspects , the clinical evaluation, principles of staging, prognosis and notes on treatment of the main tumors related and complications to the disease and related therapies. Definition of the rehabilitative pathways of the cancer patient within the NHS

Learning of basic notions about the peculiarity of frail patient end ill elderly people in different settings. Knowledge of some of the main syndromes and diseases most frequently found in advanced age.

Learn physiotherapy's topic and treatment approach with cancer patients: settings, ethics and history into the oncological rehabilitation, common complications and local complications due to cancer or cancer treatments ( in particular in breast cancer, head and neck cancer, bone cancer)

- Understand and plan a physiotherapeutic intervention in the geriatric field in a multi-professional team - Learn the tools for evaluating the gait and the risk of falling into the elderly - Evaluate the elderly with dementia, plan and perform a specific physiotherapeutic treatment - Knowing the skills to propose therapeutic exercise in the elderly patient and with dementia - Assess dysphagia and plan a specific physiotherapeutic treatment, also identifying compensatory interventions to be proposed to the assistance team - Plan and perform a physiotherapy treatment in elderly patients with a femoral fracture - Know the risks and problems related to immobilization syndrome and know the tools to prevent it - Understand the meaning of the containment, know the modalities of application or not application, plan and share the operational choice within the team. - Know and choose the walking aids

Cancer patient's description, common complications: fatigue, dyspnea, pain, cachexia. Relevant tests and measures for functional status and to document symptoms that increase disability. Palliative care and physiotherapist's role: types of exercise. Aged cancer patients: theirs vulnerability and weakness. Breast cancer: characteristic of surgery and functional complications, the exercise program after surgery and postmastectomy lymphedema (psychic and physical problems).
