Methodology
During the lessons there will be a frontal part in English with a slide projection in ppt that the students will read and listen to trying to understand the meaning, guided by some comprehension questions. This is followed by the translation of all the projected phrases to help even students with a basic knowledge of English to follow the content and build a personal glossary that they can bring to the exam. The lessons continue with the analysis of the readings and with group exercises during which students apply the techniques illustrated.
The articles and abstracts examined are chosen following the guidelines of the degree co-ordinator who identifies suitable readings for the students.
Lessons also involve listening to and creating dialogues with the patient and applying effective communication techniques to distinguish clear and structured dialogues from ineffective ones. In this way, students focus on the structure of communication and abandon their fear of expression in a foreign language. /One pretends in order to be serious. Pirandello.
Examination Methods
The exam involves a presentation in English of a relevant review following the APA style.
Students may present a topic of their choice and work in groups of 2-3 people
