Learning outcomes

To know the pelvic floors dysfunction and physiotherapy treatment present in the guidelines;
To know the assessment procedures and the exam execution for pelvic floor disorders;
To identify problems and objectives;
To plan the rehabilitation intervention and select the appropriate exercises

Clinical documentation:
History and assessment, planning of physical examination and evaluation of the pelvic floor

Physical therapy treatment:
- Biofeedback and electrotherapy
- Pelvic floor muscles training (PFMT)
- Voiding diary and "bladder retraining"
- Vaginal cones
- Education and Lifestyles

Pregnancy and childbirth
- Physiological changes during pregnancy and postural adaptations
- Childbirth
- Nutation and contronutation concept
- Perineal injury and prevention
- Disorders in post partum
- Interventions: therapeutic education, prevention, rehabilitation

Practical session of pelvic floor muscles training, with some considerations on principles and progression of the exercises.
