Learning outcomes

Al termine del corso lo studente conosce l'anatomia e la fisiologia degli organi che intervengono nella emissione della voce e nella produzione del linguaggio articolato.

Program

Anatomy and physiology of the oral cavity: mandible, temporomandibular joint, chewing muscles and oral cavity. The hard and soft palate
The teeth, the tongue, the isthmus of the jaws.
Hyoid bone, supra and subhyoid muscles. The mimic muscles.
Anatomy and physiology of the pharynx.
The cranial nerves V, VII, IX, X, XI, XII.
The breathing .
The larynx: cartilages, joints, ligaments. Intrinsic and extrinsic muscles.

Examination Methods

The exam consists of a written test based on open-ended questions. In response questions, it is required the ability to match the synthesis and clarity.
Each of the open questions is evaluated from 0 to 10 points, according to:
a) relevance of the answer
b) ability to synthesize
c) properties of language
