Learning outcomes

The course aims to offer the tools to interpret modern welfare systems, the framework of health and well-being
which they define, its transformations and implications in terms of relapses in society. You want to provide
therefore the conceptual and methodological basis for analyzing the welfare systems in advanced economies
as well as its transformations, outlining its potential future prospects in relation to new social risks.
We want to deepen the most relevant issues and orientations of social policies and contribute to
decode complex needs to formulate management and organization hypotheses of policies and services.
The lessons are organized around three main themes:
1. The welfare systems and their evolution: from the first to the second welfare;
2. The current socio-economic situation and its evolutionary scenarios
3. The organization of services for the community.
