The Course specifically aims to: • gain specific knowledge on the discipline of epidemiology; • Gain knowledge about how to transmit, the use of the main direct and indirect prophylaxis tools; • to gain specific knowledge about chronic-degenerative diseases and how to prevent them. CLINICAL MICROBIOLOGY MODULE Training objectives: The biology of microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, mycetes and protozoa) and basic concepts regarding their role as agents of infectious diseases. Nods to the mechanisms of action of the main antimicrobial drugs. The oral microbiota. Knowledge of the role of microorganisms in important infectious pathologies of the oral cavity: tooth decay and periodontal disease. INFECTION PREVENTION MODULE ASSOCIATED WITH ASSISTIVE PROCESSES Training objectives: Develop knowledge about the safety of operators and users in relation to the prevention of infections within dental clinics.
