Learning objectives

The student learns to observe the activity in the clinics as a whole, aimed in particular at the procedures of reception of the patient, the preparation of the meeting and the necessary equipment for medical intervention, assistance to the operator, patient leave, decontamination and disinfection of the operating area, the refurbishment of reusable DMs, and their storage. In particular, the student will acquire: 1. the ability to engage in a professional relationship with you and integrate into the team. 2. expertise in refurbishing reusable dm 3. the ability to assist the person in RSA 4. the ability to attend the chair in dental and dental clinics.

Prerequisites and basic notions

Theoretical contents of the 1st year courses. Active participation and experimentation in the planned laboratory and exercise activities. Active participation in the internship preparation process. Passed the low and high risk safety course

1. ABILITY TO ACT A PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH THE USER AND INTEGRATE IN THE TEAM. - PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR (Student Code of Conduct - Consensus Conference 2010) - WORKING IN A TEAM AND IN THE STUDENT GROUP - SELF-LEARNING AND ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN THEIR OWN EDUCATIONAL PATH - PROFESSIONAL STANDARD 2. RECONDITIONING OF REUSABLE MDs 3. PERSONAL ASSISTANCE IN RSA - ESTABLISHING AND MAINTAIN A RELATIONSHIP COMMUNICATION TO ENSURE WELL-BEING AND COMFORT FOR THE PATIENT (FAMILY) - INFORM, INVOLVE AND EDUCATE THE PERSON, THEIR FAMILIES OR CARE-GIVERS - INFORMATION AND EDUCATIONAL INTERVENTIONS WITH RESPECT TO brushing techniques and type of toothbrushes/aids, products for oral hygiene - DATA COLLECTION AND ASSESSMENT OF THE ORAL CAVITY ABILITY TO IMPLEMENT THE TECHNIQUES LEARNED RESPECTING THE SCIENTIFIC, HYGIENIC AND SAFETY PRINCIPLES 4. Didactic methods

internship in clinical settings Referring to internship experiences in a clinical setting: Tutoring 1:1 or 1:2 The internship lead supervisor is a hygienist from the site to which the student has been assigned. The university tutor will monitor the experience through tutorial interviews, in agreement with the supervising tutor. exercise in simulated contexts analysis of clinical cases

written/oral exam with practical demonstration of the skills acquired structured in stations Every year a meeting will be organized to provide and share the indications and procedures for carrying out the internship exam
