Turn a clinical care problem into one or more questions to be asked in the clinical/welfare literature, through the use of databases. A special focus will be on the interpretation of the data using as a tool an information processing software with the aim of highlighting the particularities of use in the clinical-medical field. INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEMS MODULE Training objectives: History of the evolution of information processing systems, study of a software tool for information processing with the aim of highlighting the particularities of use in the clinical-medical field. DESCRIPTIVE HEALTH STATISTICS FORM Training objectives: The course covers the fundamental concepts of medical statistics, in particular descriptive statistics, to the concepts of hypothesis verification and confidence intervals. In addition, the course also presents the basic concepts of epidemiology, illustrating prevalence, incidence and association measures. At the end of the course students should be able to: describe the data, through central trend measures and variability; appropriately interpret and communicate information about a collective of experimental units or patients, collected as part of clinical or epidemiological research in relation to biomedical phenomena; know how to construct and interpret a graphical representation of synthesis of the collected data; know and use the main frequency and association measures in the epidemiological field. Although computational formulas and methods are also presented, special attention will be paid to the interpretation of the data.
