Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
Training objectives: The objective of the course is to provide innovative techniques, both in diagnosis and treatment to bring the student to the knowledge of anatomical alterations that lead to health and aesthetic changes. Both hard and soft tissues will be analysed, with the use of innovative techniques such as software dedicated to diagnosis, spectrophotometry, laser and ozone.
The module includes the following topics: Periodontal diagnosis through technologies that can guide the clinician. Anatomical enamel alterations: pre- and post-eruptive defects. Differential diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of enamel defects. Enamel microinfiltration systems. Dental whitening: from the first visit to the choice of whitening treatments. Difference between home and professional whitening treatments. The traditional colour-taking technique and spectrophometry. Photographic documentation. Sensitivity management. The diode laser and photodynamic therapy. Ozone therapy. Guided Biofilm Therapy: a new approach to the oral hygiene session. The use of biomaterials in "emdogain flap" in deep periodontal defects in non-surgical therapy. Exercise on animal mandible. Telemedicine in dental hygiene, in everyday life and in times of pandemic.
