Learning outcomes
Fornire allo studente le conoscenze fondamentali per comprendere le l’azione dei farmaci sui processi fisio-patologici dei pazienti, con particolare riferimento ai farmaci usati nelle aree principali di intervento dell’igienista dentale.
Program
Principali caratteristiche del mercato dei farmaci in Italia. Come si sperimenta un farmaco. Principi di farmacocinetica e farmacodinamica. Farmacovigilanza. Effetti farmacologici e reazioni avverse dei farmaci antinfiammatori e analgesici e degli antibiotici.
Lo studente alla fine del corso dovrà essere in grado di:
Dare la definizione di farmaco, placebo, specialità medicinale, principio attivo, eccipiente, confezione, farmaco in associazione, farmaco generico e biosimilare.
Conoscere a grandi linee le caratteristiche del mercato dei farmaci in Italia.
Illustrare l'origine dei farmaci e le fasi che portano alla loro commercializzazione.
Conoscere le principali regole della sperimentazione clinica dei farmaci.
Conoscere il significato di efficacia e rischio da farmaci.
Conoscere il significato di reazione avversa da farmaci e i principali fattori alla base della loro insorgenza.
Conoscere i principi di Farmacovigilanza
Farmacocinetica
Descrivere le principali vie di somministrazione dei farmaci.
Delineare i processi fondamentali cui va incontro un farmaco quando viene assunto dal paziente e conoscere in quali organi avvengono.
Lo studente dovrà inoltre essere in grado di illustrare le principali azioni farmacologiche, le più frequenti o gravi reazioni avverse le controindicazioni e le precauzioni per le seguenti classi di farmaci:
