Learning outcomes

Scopo del corso è di introdurre gli studenti ai principi ed alle tecnologie di base ed avanzate della biologia molecolare clinica, di illustrarne le modalità di applicazione nella diagnosi, nella predizione, nella prognosi e nel supporto terapeutico delle principali patologie umane.



Program

Definizione e scopi della Biologia molecolare clinica; principali tecniche impiegate: la reazione polimerasica ed i metodi di ibridazione; principali applicazioni a differenti alterazioni congenite ed acquisite, comprese le neoplasie; prelievo, estrazione e conservazione dei materiali;espressione proteica e metodi proteomici; tecnologie high-throughput, gene arrays, principi di pattern recognition.
