Learning outcomes

The aim is to offer the principles of knowledge on the most frequently encountered heart diseases (i.e. ischemic heart disease, acute and chronic heart failure), with details on epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation and principles of phamracological and non pharmacological treatment.

Program

Coronary atherosclerosis. Cardiovascular risk factors.
Ischemic heart disease. Acute coronary syndromes.
Role of laboratory tests in diagnosis and prognostic stratification of the main heart diseases.
Acute and chronic heart failure. Pathophysiology, clinical features and prognostic stratification.
Principles of cardiovascular therapy.
