- Intra-oral, peri-apical and bite-wing radiography;
- Extra-oral panoramic radiography;
- Tele-radiography (Lateral-Lateral of the skull and Postero-Anterior); - Dental CT and CBCT (Computed Tomography and Cone Bean Computed Tomography);
- Intra and extra oral optical imaging/scanner and rapid prototyping (3D models) applied to the dento-maxillofacial district.
------------------------
UL: Parte 2
------------------------
The teaching program includes the study of:
- Concept of image and radiological projection.
- Main axes of the human body.
- Anatomical-radiological section plans of the body.
- Body positions in a radiological system.
- Notes on the anatomy of the joint osteologies and their topographic position.
- Theoretical study of the main conventional radiological projection techniques most widely adopted in the osteo-articular field (basic, in emergencies, in stretchered and polytraumatized patients)
- Practical exercises and simulation tests in radiological diagnostics (Borgo Roma and Borgo Trento Radiology).
Didactic methods
------------------------
UL: Parte 1
------------------------
- Frontal lesson;
- Laboratory;
- Simulations with phantom.
------------------------
UL: Parte 2
------------------------
The following will be used:
- Classroom lectures (theoretical study of the main conventional radiological projections most adopted in the osteo-articular field with analysis of clinical cases)
- Practical exercises and simulation tests in radiological diagnostics (Radiology of Borgo Roma and Borgo Trento).
Learning assessment procedures
------------------------
UL: Parte 1
------------------------
The test is administered in written form (projected and uploaded to a dedicated web platform) and includes an oral examination to assess comprehension and logical reasoning.
------------------------
UL: Parte 2
------------------------
The test is submitted in written form (with multiple choice questions, completions/correspondences and open-ended questions) followed, if the written test is passed, by an oral test to verify understanding and logic.
The expected duration is 45 minutes for the written test and 10/15 minutes for the oral.
Evaluation criteria
------------------------
UL: Parte 1
------------------------
- 50 multiple choice questions;
- 5 possible answers to each question;
- Correct answer =1;
- Wrong or not given answer =0;
- 1 minute per question;
- 30 questions to reach 18/30;
- At the end oral test to check understanding and the logic.
------------------------
UL: Parte 2
------------------------
The study, understanding and ability of critical reasoning and logic are evaluated on the knowledge acquired through the use of an adequate vocabulary.
