Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
TARGETS
• The course aims to provide students with basic knowledge and understanding of the prevention, protection and promotion and management of health and safety in the workplace
• The student will acquire basic knowledge and understanding on the general principles of prevention and pathogenesis of occupational diseases, risk assessment, health surveillance, suitability assessment, specific legislation, health education, primary, secondary and tertiary prevention , with reference to different types of work risk (for example, chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic, organizational and psychosocial, accident).
• Attention will be dedicated to making the student acquire knowledge and understanding about the prerogatives and roles of the various figures and structures assigned to prevention in the workplace and the awareness that in the profession of a graduate in prevention sciences applied to health and safety in the workplace there is the opportunity to promote forms of health education aimed at promoting health and safety in the workplace.

The figures and structures for the protection of health and safety at work
The main occupational risks.
Prevention and pathogenesis of work-related diseases and work-related diseases. Accidents at work.
Risk assessment. Health surveillance. Individual susceptibility. The judgment of suitability for work. Medico-legal obligations.
Preventive Medicine in Healthcare Workers.
Chemical, ergonomic, biological, organizational-psychosocial risk factors.
