Il corso intende fornire una preparazione di base in chimica e sviluppare le basi scientifiche necessarie per la comprensione della natura e del comportamento delle principali classi di composti inorganici, in modo da acquisire gli strumenti idonei per la comprensione e la gestione delle problematiche legate all’esposizione ad agenti chimici.

- La struttura della materia: atomi e molecole; il sistema periodico degli elementi
- Stechiometria: massa dei composti, concetto di mole, equazioni chimiche, resa di reazione.
- Stati della materia, con particolare riferimento allo stato gassoso
- Il legame chimico
- Trasformazioni chimiche
- Soluzioni e concentrazione
- Termodinamica chimica (cenni)
- Equilibri acido-base
- Sistemi red-ox ed elettrochimica
- Composti di base della chimica inorganica: sistematica e nomenclatura; proprietà e reattività
- Radioattività naturale e artificiale (cenni).
