Learning outcomes
To provide a basic knowledge of the epistemological and hermeneutical reflection of ethnographic and anthropological research. One part of the reflection this year will concern the ethnography of scholastic contexts
Program
The principal analogical, dialogical and textual mechanisms that intervene in the construction of ethnographical knowledge will be studied. In particular, the study of anthropology at school, also in non-western contexts, will be tackled. Attending students will be asked to carry out a scholastic ethnographic investigation which will be prepared, directed and discussed during the course.

Examination Methods
a) Non-attending students will take an oral exam on the above texts.
b) Attending students may choose from the following:
1) an oral exam on the above texts;
2) the presentation of a written report on texts agreed upon with the tutor and from lecture notes;
3) the preparation of a written report using the scholastic ethnographic investigation conducted during the course.
