CONTAMINATION LAB 

The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.  

Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

Learning objectives

The laboratory activity will focus on the analysis and use of methodologies, with a psychological approach, to work in groups and plan group activities in order to evaluate educational interventions. The laboratory will take place in the presence, with mandatory attendance. Registration is optional and will be possible through the moodle of the laboratory.

Prerequisites and basic notions

No prior knowledge is required.

Program

The Laboratory offers the possibility to experiment and deepen the theoretical and instrumental knowledge on the use of the group as a way of working, applying them in an educational context of interest to the participants. In particular, the Photovice technique and the Clinical Training approach will be subjected to experiential practice.

Didactic methods

The teaching methods will be: brief theoretical introduction in frontal teaching of the use of the group in educational contexts and of the techniques being tested; group work in which moments of exercise and collective elaboration will alternate. The intervention of external experts is also expected during the meetings. In addition, bibliographic indications will be provided for further study.

Learning assessment procedures

Learning verification methods Active participation in the meetings and activities of the "Laboratory of Group Psychology and evaluation of educational interventions" will result in the accreditation of 1 CFU. The conditions for accreditation of the CFU are: • attendance by the students, 12 hours out of the total 12 of the laboratory offer; • the production of a short written final paper.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Evaluation criteria

The criteria for evaluating the written work will be the following:
• syntactic-grammatical correctness
• mastery of the specific language of the discipline (psychology)
• expository and reflective ability

Criteria for the composition of the final grade

The paper will be evaluated in terms of: approved/not approved.
