Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
Knowledge and understanding skills
At the end of the course students were required to:
- Know the evolution of pedagogical thinking, especially of the twentieth century.
-Consider the child's cultural, social and political consideration during the twentieth century.
- to recognize the attention and evolution that society has always addressed to the different and marginalized, both in the studies and in the realization of appropriate educational services and institutions for the person (rest homes, welfare and educational institutions, etc.). ).
- Know the different patterns and phases of scientific research, especially in the historical field, used over time.
Knowledge and understanding skills applied.
At the end of the course the students will have to:
- Be able to understand texts of a historical-pedagogical nature, to place them in the cultural context and to compare them.
- Be able to grasp and compare the different considerations of childhood and child during the twentieth century, taking into account the different societies both from the structural and the political point of view.
- Be able to grasp the evolution of pedagogical thinking towards the various, to highlight their persistence and absences in the present world, by bringing forth lines of continuity.
- Be capable of a historical sense and a scientific approach in reading the present and in contextualizing the facts; To historically place various educational services;
To develop skills of research, interpretation and narration of ideas, facts concerning the educational; To understand how the present, even in the field of socio-educational services, is the development and the fruit of a path that has roots in past societies.
- Being capable of a historical sense, that is to feel involved in a process that begins in the past and continues in the future, to which every person can make his contribution.
Judgment autonomy
At the end of the course students will have to demonstrate:
-capacity to overcome some prejudices and preconceptions of the present and the past.
- to have a scientific approach to historical-educational research.
-capacity to critically analyze the various educational services, affirmed in the course of history, and to capture the positive aspects that are valid in the present.
-To be able to overcome the positions of those who have used history for a long time, working for convenience, functionally in the defense or progress of a people, a state, an ideology, or a civilization.
Communicative Skills
At the end of the course the students will have to:
-saper use correctly terms / concepts related to education in their historical evolution.
-saper compiles relationships correctly from the point of view of historical research.
-saper to document what is produced in a precise and pertinent manner.
Ability to learn
At the end of the course the students will have to:
- Being able to face historical research.
- Be able to identify, in the various cultural and educational models present in the course of history, reflections, methods, examples valid for their activity.
- Have a positive predisposition to "get in the game" continually comparing with thoughts, reflections, contributions from scholars of different cultural background

Examination Methods
-Learning will be assessed through a written test, with open questions and predetermined space for responses.
-There will be no difference in how to rate between attending and non-attendants, but will take into account the contribution of each person during the lessons in seminars, reports and labs.
-We will evaluate in particular: the knowledge of the main contents covered in the course; Grammatical correctness and logical argumentation; The ability to synthesize and to grasp the fundamental elements; The ability to re-elaborate by taking into account the contributions of other courses and / or personal knowledge.
Notes
The course is open to all members. Seminars will be attended by presenters. Any information about the materials will be given during the lessons, some of which will be published in slides on the teacher's personal site.

Stage e Tirocini
Per le altre attività formative (crediti F) sono previsti 9 cfu (pari a 225 ore) da acquisire solamente attraverso l’attività di tirocinio obbligatoria, a sua volta suddivisa in:
- tirocinio indiretto (1 cfu: 25 ore di frequenza obbligatoria in università per il 75%) in preparazione dell’attività formativa sul campo;
- tirocinio diretto (8 cfu), da svolgersi presso enti convenzionati.
L’ordinamento didattico della LM in Scienze pedagogiche prevede che il tirocinio indiretto a frequenza obbligatoria si svolga in università per il 75% nel secondo anno (1 CFU: 25 ore).
Il tirocinio indiretto consiste in un accompagnamento iniziale delle/degli studenti da parte dei tutor attraverso un percorso di formazione della durata di 25 ore.
La finalità di questo percorso è quella di preparare le/gli studenti alla particolare forma di apprendimento costituita dal tirocinio, dotandoli di conoscenze e strumenti adeguati a osservare, comprendere e rielaborare criticamente l’esperienza di tirocinio nei servizi educativi e ad affrontare il tirocinio negli enti con metodo e consapevolezza.
Il percorso, da attuare in gruppi da 20-25 persone sotto la supervisione di un tutor proveniente dal mondo professionale di educatori e pedagogisti, risponde alle esigenze costantemente espresse sia dalle/dagli studenti stessi sia dalle parti sociali che dai referenti degli enti convenzionati.
