Learning outcomes

The main aims of the course are make available to students:
A. Knowledges about the role of physical activities in successful ageing, in different kinds of disabilities and in diseases sensible to exercise;
B. Competences for to plan, program and conduct adapted physical activities for older people, persons with disabilities and with chronic disease in different settings.

Program

The course will be realized with oral presentations (40 hours) and practical activities (60 hours for exercises and planning laboratories).
Main arguments:
- The preventive role of physical activities in aging, disabilities and diseases;
- Main characteristics (physiopathological, behavioral and psychological), related to motor behaviour, in aging, some disabilities, neurological and neurodegenerative diseases.
- Guidelines for physical activities in aging, disabilities and diseases sensible to exercise;
- Planning and conduction of adapted physical activities in different settings;
- Elements of statistical analysis related to assessment of adapted physical activities.

Examination Methods

I part: Questionnaire for the access at second part of the exam;
II part: Didactic plan for adapted physical activities in specific setting. Eventual interview about the text. The two parts of the exams will be realized consecutively.
