Learning outcomes

The aim of this course is to provide the students with theoretical and practical knowledge on the following items:
• Applied human anatomy with special reference to surface and palpatory anatomy
• Anthropometric measurements

Program

Surface and topographic anatomy:
detection of bony landmarks
detection of origin and insertion of skeletal muscles
manual functional evaluation of skeletal muscles
detection of selected nerve and vessel landmarks

Anthropometry
anthropometry instrumentation and main anthropometric measurements
execution of anthropometry with anthropometer
execution od skinfold thickness measurement

Examination Methods

According to the Regulations in force, the student must participate in 70% of teaching hours to get admitted to the exam. To pass the exament, students should demonstrate adequate knowledge of the main anatomical landmarks as well as the main anthropometric measurements. The examen consists of multiple choice questions (n=20). Five answers, one correct. Correct answer, 1 point; wrong/missing answer, 0 points.
