Biomedical control in training (mountain sports) (2020/2021)
The teaching is organized as follows:
Learning outcomes
PHYSIOLOGY: PART 1
The lectures will present selected topics of integrative physiology applied to exercise and sports. By focusing on specific aspects of human physiology and a quantitative approach the course aims at fostering the understanding of the control mechanisms, the integrated function of organs and systems towards the maintenance of the body homeostasis. The course will focus on the acute responses to exercise and the adaptive responses to training.
PART 2: The lectures will present selected topics of integrative physiology applied to sports and performance in the mountain environment. By focusing on specific aspects of human physiology and a quantitative approach the course aims at fostering the understanding of the control mechanisms, the integrated function of organs and systems towards the maintenance of the body homeostasis. The course will focus on the effects of altitude exposure and on the sex differences in the acute responses to exercise and the adaptive responses to training.
MEDICINA DELLO SPORT APPLICATA AGLI SPORT DI MONTAGNA: The course aims to provide knowledge concerning different medical aspects related to mountain and high altitude, with particular regard to phisiological mechanisms of the adaptation to high altitude.
TRAUMATOLOGIA DEGLI SPORT: The programm consists in learning the main pathologies and traumatological states of muscular and scheletric system in relation to sport and agonistic activities.
