Laurea magistrale interateneo in Scienze dello sport e della prestazione fisica - Enrollment from 2025/2026I Regolamenti dei corsi di laurea e di laurea magistrale di scienze motorie prevedono che gli studenti possano completare il proprio piano didattico, frequentando oltre agli insegnamenti obbligatori anche delle attività formative a scelta, per approfondire alcuni aspetti tematici o settori di interesse, in coerenza con il proprio percorso formativo.
Le attività formative a scelta di ambito D sono indicate all’interno del piano didattico del corso di studio prescelto, mentre le attività formative di ambito F sono individuate da una apposita commissione di docenti. Queste ultime attività possono essere conferenze, seminari, webinar, altro e vengono acquisite con una valutazione e non con un voto in trentesimi.

Endocrinology and Sport Medicine (2022/2023)
The teaching is organized as follows:
Learning objectives
PART I - The role of endocrine factors during exercise adaptation, the physiological changes and the most common and important pathological modifications of these factors during lifetime; - The main features of the different types of diabetes, exercise prescription in order to prevent and treat type 2 diabetes, alterations to exercise adaptation related to diabetes and its pharmacological treatment, adaptations required in subjects with type 1 diabetes before, during and after exercise; - Pathophysiology of metabolic syndrome, how to prescribe physical activity in order to prevent and treat metabolic syndrome, physical exercise in the treatment of obesity; - Main consequences on exercise performance of the most common endocrine disorders; Interactions between female reproductive function and exercise performance, effects on exercise capacity of the main drugs used to modify physiological and pathological aspects of female reproductive function; - Main characteristics of the polycystic ovary syndrome, changes in exercise capacity in women with this syndrome, physical activity in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome; physical activity in the prevention and treatment of gestational diabetes. MM: Medicina dello sport The course aims to provide knowledge about the most relevant diseases in internal medicine field that must have a relationship with physical exercise and sport performance. Notions on cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, renal diseases will be presented. Sport nutrition elements will be analyzed. The role of physical activity and assistance in the prevention and treatment of diseases will also be clarified..
Prerequisites and basic notions
No preconditions are necessary.

Criteria for the composition of the final grade
Two thirds of the final vote derive from Endocrinology questions and one third from Sport Medicine questions at a combined multiple choice exam.
