Laurea magistrale interateneo in Scienze dello sport e della prestazione fisica - Enrollment from 2025/2026I Regolamenti dei corsi di laurea e di laurea magistrale di scienze motorie prevedono che gli studenti possano completare il proprio piano didattico, frequentando oltre agli insegnamenti obbligatori anche delle attività formative a scelta, per approfondire alcuni aspetti tematici o settori di interesse, in coerenza con il proprio percorso formativo.
Le attività formative a scelta di ambito D sono indicate all’interno del piano didattico del corso di studio prescelto, mentre le attività formative di ambito F sono individuate da una apposita commissione di docenti. Queste ultime attività possono essere conferenze, seminari, webinar, altro e vengono acquisite con una valutazione e non con un voto in trentesimi.

Learning objectives
MM1: The course allows to acquire the main techniques used to analyze and improve the performance and its determinants through laboratory and field tools. It permits to know, to plan and apply training models in different situations, including relationship to single and multidisciplinary disciplines. It allows the preparation and interpretation of descriptive reports about performance characteristics of athletes MM2: Metodi e didattiche delle attività motorie: This course focuses on the bases and applications of theories of motor learning. Principles and concepts related to the acquisition and relearning of motor skills are considered by examining practical applications of motor learning in sports and physical activity. Course objectives: • Understand the processes and theories that underpin motor learning; • Promote critical thinking by reflecting on the strengths and limitations of motor learning research/theories; • Assess motor function using the appropriate measurements in a sporting, health and exercise context; • Understand how to manipulate a motor learning environment to optimize motor learning. MM 3: Metodi e didattiche delle attività motorie: The aim of this course is to provide the basis to understand the physiological and biomechanical factors that determine force and power output: the length of the muscle and the speed of contraction (the F-V and F-L curves), muscle architecture, the type of fibers, the elastic characteristics of tendons and joint angles (which influence the lever arms of the external forces). Some techniques for the functional assessment of muscle force (in the laboratory and in the field) will also be presented and discussed. MM4: Metodi e didattiche delle attività motorie: The aim of the course is to learn how to evaluate/monitor changes in muscle strength and to interpret these changes in a training-planning perspective, and to understand the remodeling and behavior of the muscle-tendon unit with the aim of improving performance and prevent injuries. Specifically, the F-V and F-L curves will be obtained in different contexts (laboratory, field, gym), during single and multi-joint exercises and their role in monitoring training will be discussed and interpreted. Finally, the effects of force imbalances and how to evaluate them, will also be discussed. MM5: The course allows to acquire the main methodological model used to improve the performance and its determinants. It permits to know, to plan and apply this training models in different situations, including relationship to single and multidisciplinary disciplines.

Basic notions of biomechanics, motor control and theory/methodology of training.

Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The exam consists of a written test and an oral test (in the week following the written test). The written test includes 3 "blocks of questions":
1- METHODS AND TEACHING METHODS OF PHYSICAL PREPARATION + SPORTS TRAINING MODELS: test (60 min) with open questions (weighing 50% of the final grade of the written exam);
2- METHODS AND TEACHING METHODS OF MOTOR ACTIVITIES (Part 1): multiple choice test (30 min) (with a weight of 25% on the final grade of the written paper);
3- METHODS AND TEACHING METHODS OF MOTOR ACTIVITIES (Part 2): test (30 min) with open questions (with a weight of 25% of the final grade of the written exam).
The duration of the written test is therefore 2 hours.
Only passing all three block of questions (with a grade> 18/30 in each) in the written test will allow access to the oral exam; also for the oral exam, the mark will take into account the weighted average of the individual modules.
