Learning objectives
The course aims to introduce the student of sports and physical performance sciences to the legal rules that oversee sports activities in all their manifestations (recreational-sports, amateur, professional), through the analysis of the relevant legal institutions, both within the national, international, and state and European sports regulations. Particular attention is paid to mountain sports. The course alternates lectures and seminars with the participation of external guests. More specifically, the course program highlights the following topics: 1) the sport legal order; 2) sport responsibility; 3) the responsibility of the organizer of sport events; 4) the responsibility of the manager of sports facilities; 5) the responsibility of teachers and sports instructors; 6) the responsibility of the sports physician; 7) doping.

More specifically, the course program highlights the following topics: 1) sports organization; 2) sports work; 3) sports liability; 4) the liability of the organizer of sports events; 5) the liability of the manager of sports facilities; 6) the liability of sports teachers and instructors; 7) The liability of the sports doctor; 8) doping. M. Pittalis, Sport and law. Sports activity between performance and everyday life, Wolters Kluwer, Milan, II EDITION, 2022, limited to the chapters: I (pp. 1-151); II (pp. 165-264); VI (pp. 403-492); VII (pp. 503-550); VIII (pp. 557-615); IX (pp. 625-671); X (pp. 679-705); XIII (pp. 819-852). We recommend studying the new edition of the volume, published after the reform of sports law in February 2021.

The course alternates lectures and seminars, also with the participation of external guests.
Learning assessment procedures
There is a written test at the end of the course, which can be freely chosen. The other exam sessions include an oral test.
