Learning outcomes
This course is intended to introduce students to the problems of historical linguistics from the point of view of linguistic typology, which is the study and the classification of languages according to their structural and functional features.

Course programme: This course provides students an introduction to linguistic typology and examines some cases of grammatical change, interpreting them by means of this kind of study.
