Learning outcomes

The student learns to observe the activity in the clinics as a whole, aimed in particular at the procedures of reception of the patient, the preparation of the meeting and the necessary equipment for medical intervention, assistance to the operator, patient leave, decontamination and disinfection of the operating area, the refurbishment of reusable DMs, and their storage. In particular, the student will acquire: 1. the ability to engage in a professional relationship with you and integrate into the team. 2. expertise in refurbishing reusable dm 3. the ability to assist the person in RSA 4. the ability to attend the chair in dental and dental clinics.

Program

Contents of the discipline:
Detection of oral and extra-oral objectivity:
♦ Medical history
♦ Lining fabrics, gingival tissues, hard tissues.
♦ Diagnostic indices.
♦ Photographic and radiographic documentation, study models.
♦ Recording of data on the dental record.
2. The student acquires the appropriate knowledge for the use of home and professional oral hygiene materials and tools in order to achieve the prevention of carious disease and the covered treatment of periodontal disease. Learn about and use home and professional aids for the control of bacterial plaque.
Contents of the discipline:
General information, function, classification, components, indications and contraindications of: ♦ Materials and tools for home oral hygiene.
♦ Materials and tools for professional oral hygiene.
♦ Materials and tools of technological innovation.
♦ Sharpening of cutting tools.
The student learns to motivate and instruct the patient to check and remove oral bacterial plaque in order to prevent, reduce and control oral-dental pathologies in different clinical pictures.

Patient motivation and education:
♦ Motivation: Communication techniques.
♦ Concept of prevention, primary, secondary, tertiary prevention. ♦ Education: Objectives and methods, application techniques, indications.
♦ Control of the food diet.
♦ Control of eating habits.
♦ Control of bad habits.
