Teaching program Non-surgical periodontal therapy • Anatomy of the periodontium • Dental and root anatomy • Periodontal disease • Evaluation of periodontal risk • Manual instruments and their maintenance • Manual root ablation and root planing under closed conditions • Work positions • Treatment of the disease periodontal • Scientific protocols of non-surgical periodontal therapy • Topical pharmacological therapy The course aims to provide the student with theoretical and practical knowledge, based on scientific methods and protocols, to be able to manage and face professional oral hygiene sessions with affected patients from periodontal disease. At the same time, it aims to offer students the knowledge to be able to educate and instruct patients in good home oral hygiene practices.
